If you are willing to gamble with thousands of dollars, Las Vegas hotels will be more than happy to “comp” you a hotel room. They, of course, want to stay with them and gamble at their hotels. If you are not willing, chances are you are looking for a room in which to sleep at least for a couple of hours and shower once in a while. Most people want to stay on the Strip as that is where the bulk of the action happens. These hotels are just some of the variety available.
Wynn Las Vegas
The Wynn is almost universally acknowledged as the best hotel on the Strip. The smallest rooms are among the biggest in town or, if you are in a large group, you can stay in one of the villas that line the only golf course on the Strip.
Although the restaurants and the shopping are exceptional, what truly makes this hotel stand out is its casino. Unlike so many of the others that are filled with artificial light and highly oxygenated air, the Wynn’s casino is flooded with natural light and fresh air. All of this is enclosed within real greenery and a wall of water that makes you feel as though you are outside.
Four Seasons Las Vegas
The Four Seasons resorts are known for their attention to detail and the Four Seasons Las Vegas is no exception. The hotel is on five floors of the Mandalay Bay Resort which means that guests also have direct access to all that Mandalay Bay has to offer, which is substantial.
The hotel boasts one of the best spas in town, a weekend breakfast buffet that is unrivaled and rooms that provide stunning views out across the desert.
Bellagio
In a word, the Bellagio is beautiful. It contains a man-made lake that sprawls over nearly nine acres and water fountains that even people who don’t stay here come to see. The rooms are tasteful and well appointed with Italian marble bathrooms.
This is an ideal place to come if you want to escape children. The restaurants are upscale and do not tend to attract families. Additionally, the hotel boasts an adults only pool.
Caesars Palace
In a town not particularly known for its service, Caesars Palace sets itself apart by concentrating on providing the best for its guests. Although the rooms and the restaurants are not on the same par as some of the other luxury available on the Strip, the staff is brilliantly trained and are empowered to solve a myriad of challenges.
Caesars is also known for the quality of entertainers it brings to town. From musicians to comedians to variety shows, guests at the hotel have priority access to some of the best entertainment in town.
Tropicana
While many of the hotels on the Strip are gorgeous and luxurious, you will pay for the privilege. If, however, you want to stay on the Strip and still have a dollar or two left in your pocket, the Tropicana is the solution for you.
One of the oldest hotels in Vegas, it was looking a bit shabby for a while. It has undergone a complete renovation, however, and the rooms are now one of the best bargains in town. While it does not have the shopping or the restaurants that many of its competitors do, it does provide a standard casino and open-air pools.
Hotel 32
Many of the higher end hotels now offer boutique hotels within their hotels. They have designated four or five floors that contain exceptional rooms with exceptional service and you pay for the privilege. Hotel 32, the boutique hotel within the Monte Carlo, is an example and it may very well be the biggest bargain on the Strip.
For a fraction of what you would pay for a luxury room anywhere, you are provided with the all the VIP amenities you could wish for. Starting from complimentary airport pick-up in a stretch limo, this hotel has dedicated staff and on-floor concierges to ensure that your stay is everything you would wish it to be.
The hotel provides a private lounge for its guests. The lounge serves free drinks (including alcohol), breakfast, snacks and evening canapés.
